There is less than a month till the National Junior Tournament being held at the ASB Stadium in Kensington and our juniors are getting really excited. The Younger Games will be the first ever tournament held for juniors and we want to make this an annual event, giving juniors throughout NZ something to work towards (why should the seniors have all the fun!)
We are also going to stream these games live for all to see (more details of this to follow)
So add to your diaries now and come along to cheer these amazing young athletes on!!

A Trip to the Big Smoke……..
Our Juniors took a trip down to Auckland at the weekend to take on Pirate City Rollers’ Scallywags (along with some skaters from Hellmilton Roller Ghouls & Dead End Derby, Christchurch). The Hell Razors played an amazing game, winning 433 to 193
A big thanks to Pirate City Rollers for hosting us

Our juniors are now counting down the days to The Younger Games – the first junior roller derby tournament to be held in New Zealand. 7th September is the date so put it in your diary now it, it is going to be a fantastic day!!

The Excitement is Building!

Our juniors are starting to get very excited about “The Younger Game”, the first junior roller derby tournament in New Zealand being held at Kensington Stadium on 7th September.
Junior Derby is now starting to become popular in New Zealand with many leagues now discovering the benefits of having junior teams in their leagues.
Our Hell Razors have been waiting a long time for this. In their history of game playing, they have only lost one game, against Hellmilton Roller Ghouls’ Monstars.
Their goal in this tournament is to stay the top Junior Roller Derby team in New Zealand.

On the Road Again……….
Friday June 7th saw us packing our bags once again and making the trip to Palmerston North to play Swamp City Roller Derby. This time our A & B teams went down to battle it out on the flat track. The games were played outside of Palmerston in Pahiatua.
First up was our A team, Hells Wives who battled against Swamp City’s All Stars and a battle it certainly was! Some amazing footwork was seen on both sides along with some big hits. The All Stars were just too strong in the end winning 340 – 101
It was then time for the B teams battle – our Night Furyz against Swamp City’s Honourable Mareikura. This game wasn’t quite as fast paced but was still an awesome game to watch with our Night Furyz pulling ahead and winning 202 -155.
Thank you Swamp City for being wonderful hosts – we had an awesome time and were made to feel very welcome.
Sadly this is our last senior game for a while. We have not been able to persuade any other derby team in the whole of New Zealand to travel to the Winterless North to play us and have already had to travel to 3 away games in a short time to be able to stay in the ranking table.
We would really like to apologise to all our fans that we haven’t been able to secure home games to come watch as you guys are amazing fans and we hope you will hang in there with us.
We do have a Junior tournament on September 7th at Kensington Stadium which is shaping up to being an incredible tournament, the first Junior tournament ever in NZ and we hope you will come along and support your “Hell Razors” We will be posting more details closer to the date.
